Description:
Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD automated their applicant tracking process by utilizing both the Certified and Classified modules that allow for the tracking of 5 categories of applicants.  Along with allowing Professional applicants to apply for jobs via the Internet, Principals and other departmental administrators are able to search for qualified applicants and view their application and supporting documents.  Each morning all applications received via the Internet are reviewed checking for certification and then releasing them for Principal viewing.        

All Certified employee documents are scanned into the system so administrators can view their electronic file from their desktop PC.  It took one person about one and one half years to scan all of the current employee files.  They still maintain most of the paper in files, but seldom does anyone need to get up from their disk to access an employees file.  In order to meet the Texas standards for permanent records storage, the employee records are recorded on a CD-ROM.
